Number of liquor licenses is increased in Boston.

Massachusetts legislature approves a law that increases the number of licenses in Boston by 25 each year – 20 each year in underserved neighborhoods and five anywhere in the city. The new law also gives the mayor the authority to approve future licenses in the city for the first time since 2006.
